MEDIA ADVISORY: Spring Fair, Pedestrian Safety Event

What: Spring Fair 2014, a free festival, open to the public, featuring fun for children and adults. There will be 70 craft vendors, a food court, live music (including headline artist J. Cole) and a beer garden. For children there will be games, a petting zoo, magicians and carnival rides.

When: Friday, April 25, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday, April 26, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Sunday, April 27, noon to 6 p.m.

SAFE WALKING EVENT:  From 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday April 26, rain or shine, the university will stage a safe walking event — part of the ongoing Road Scholar pedestrian safety initiative.

On the median at the intersection of 33rd and St. Paul streets, students from the JHU Eclectics dance troupe will dance in head-to-toe yellow bodysuits while holding signs with slogans such as: “Slow down, hon,” “Stay alert — don’t get hurt,” and “B’More Street Smart.”
